Preferences - Appearance Tab

The appearance tab is divided into the following sections:

Startup Window Options

Allowable Sizes with Resize button

Here you can define what screen sizes are available when the Resize button is pressed on the Main Password Window.

Five check boxes, Miniature, Small, Medium, Large and Maximum, represent each of the five available window sizes.

Which ever of the five options are ticked, these screen sizes will be availeble when resize is pressed. E.g. if only Small and Maximum are selected, then pressing resize will just toggle between these two sizes. If only one is selected, then pressing the resize button will have no effect. Note that you must select at least one of the sizes and if not, all sizes will be available.

Mouse pointer moves when screen is resized. - With this option checked, when pressing Resize on the Main Password Window, the mouse pointer will be repositioned so that it is over the Resize button at the new window size.

Form Startup Coordinates

In this section, the start-up coordinates of the Main Password Window and the Form Filler window can be defined. The quantities are in pixels from the left or top of the screen and setting a value to 0 means the application default positions will be used.

Preferences - Security Settings Tab

On the secutiry tab, a user can define security aspects related to the behaviour of the application when they are logged in. The options are as follows:

Checkbox / Feature Description

Automatic Lockout

With this box checked, EPM will automatically lockout after the time a set time period of inactivity. This means that access to the current users account information will only be possible once the users Master Password has been provided. This is useful if you are using your computer in an environment where others have access to your PC when you are not there.
Time before lockout (mins) This determines how long in minutes, EPM needs to be inactive before auto lockout of EPM occurs (See Autolockout above). This is only available when Automatic Lockout enabled.
User Password Stored for Quick Logon With this option selected the user will be able to enter the particular user account without entering a password. Use this option wisely as this means anybody who uses your PC will have access to your account passwords.
Hide Password Each time a new record is selected With this enabled, each time you move a new Service record on the Main Password Window, if you have "Show Password" enabled, it will automatically be disabled. Therefore the password field will re-disguised as asterisk characters when moving to a new record.
Enable ‘Password 'Copy' Button and Password field drag If you are worried about security then the ‘copy’ button that places  the current record password onto the clipboard buffer can be disabled. It will actually not be available on the screen. Unchecking this box will also disable field dragging for this field. If enabling this feature on the preferences screen, the user password will need to be entered to confirm this action, when exiting the screen.
Enter user password to show Service Record Password With this set, you cannot press the show password button, without first entering the current user password. This is for those very concerned about the environment in which they user their computer.
