Version 2 of Easy Password Manager is crammed with new features to make your online experience more rewarding. a description of some of these feature follows:
Auto Login Feature- The Auto Login feature provides single click access to many online Internet accounts. For example, the user could configure Easy Password Manager so that pressing the "Login" button once, automatically navigates to their online Email account, fills out the username and password fields, and then clicks the login button, all from one click within the Main Password window. This feature is only for users using Internet Explorer (5 and above for best results).
Auto Form Fill - When the user encounters a web form asking them for the name and address details it can be quite frustrating. With the Auto Form Filler, the user can press the Auto Fill Button and EPM will fill out the name and address fields for you. This works using Artificial Intelligence within EPM. The AI looks at a web page and works out which fields are what and then using information you have provided, it fills out the address fields for you. Auto Form Fill will not work with every website, but the few it does not work with, the user can still drag fields across from EPM onto the web form.
System Tray Icon Functionality - Easy Password Manager can now be operated from the Windows Task Bar System Tray. This makes EPM act more integrated to the Windows system allowing it to be hidden when not in use but called into action very quickly when required.
Enhanced encryption - Easy Password Manager now used industry standard as well as custom encryption routines. Even though the first version of encryption was very strong, it was felt that a move to an industry standard encryption combined with our own encryption would give some users the assurance associated with the industry standard routines.
Improved interface - The addition of colourful graphics, improved screen sizes and greater selection of customisation options will be a welcome addition to many users.
Improved help guide - As you can see this help guide is a vast improvement on that included with version 1. Context sensitive help is available from most EPM windows for those times when the user is unsure about a particular feature.
Improved Form Filler - As well as the Automated Form Filling feature. The Form Filler itself has been improved with the addition of many more fields. Also the Credit Card section has been separated from the Personal Information section so no longer do you have to insert a new identity when you want to insert a credit card. You can also use the drop down list box to jump straight to a record.
Greater Service Record field selection - For the Main Password window, there are now more fields available with titles more relevant for today's account login purposes.
Greater customisation and preference choices - Options galore in this version of EPM. Many users will no doubt be happy with the default options, but for those that like to customise their applications, they will not be disappointed by the amount of customisation options contained within Version 2.
Generally improved performance - We've listened to V1 users and we've looked at what we can improve and generally we've made V2 better. Things such as the way EPM locks out after a fixed time to providing a popup menu by right clicking the mouse on the main windows all help to make using EPM a better experience.
One button backup option - Backing up your Easy Password Manager databases is important in the event of PC failure. Now the process has got very easy thanks to the new One button backup feature means all your password files can be transferred to a set location of your choosing, be that a floppy disk, network drive or any where on your Windows file system with just a few clicks.
Import and Export features for user management - Backup features have been greatly improved and with this the ability to export and import user databases has been added. This also means you can now define the location of a user database to one of your liking and this can even be across the network on a mapped network driver if necessary. It also makes it easy to use a database in more then one place like a laptop and a home PC for example.
